Corpse is referred to as the 'Shava' in Sanskrit. This is the asana that keeps the body as well as the mind perfectly relaxed, comfortable and determined.

Procedure:
1. Lie down straight on your back; do not place any pillow under your head. Be relaxed and loose; rest your palms on the ground.
2. Practice an easy eye exercise by simply closing your eyes for two seconds and then opening it again for the next two seconds.
3. Then keeping your eyes closed, concentrate on your toes. Move your toes to and fro and exercise them a bit.
4. Lie down fully relaxed with your eyes closed. Be in this posture for two minutes. Shavasana can be practiced in between the different asanas whenever you feel tired.
